Bedford 2023

Bedford 2030 addresses the urgent issue of climate change through the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and preservation of natural resources. Bedford 2030 organizes grassroots efforts in to achieve aggressive climate action goals identified in the Bedford Climate Action Plan.

Farmer Veteran Coalition

The Farmer Veteran Coalition works with farmers and food leaders to develop viable employment and meaningful careers for veterans in collaboration with the farming and military communities. FVC believes that veterans possess the unique skills and character needed to strengthen rural communities and create sustainable food systems.

Glynwood

The Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming works with food and farming changemakers from New York’s Hudson Valley and beyond to cultivate just and resilient regional food systems so that communities, farmers, and the land thrive.

Groundwork Hudson Valley

Groundwork USA is a national network of local organizations devoted to transforming the natural and built environment of low-resource communities—a national enterprise with local roots, working at the intersection of the environment, equity, and civic engagement.

Heifer USA

Heifer USA works with small-scale farmers in the United States to help transform their communities through training, education, and resources, and by bringing farmers together to build socially and environmentally responsible and profitable businesses.

The Livestock Conservancy

The Livestock Conservancy is a nonprofit organization that protects endangered livestock and poultry breeds from extinction. They are the driving force behind the preservation of genetic diversity for heritage livestock breeds and strong supporters of small, sustainable farms. Part of Cabbage Hill Farm Foundation’s mission statement is grounded in the work of the Livestock Conservancy.

National Black Farmers Association

The National Black Farmers Association serves tens of thousands of Black farmers nationwide with education and advocacy efforts focused on civil rights, land retention, access to public and private loans, education and agricultural training, and rural economic development for Black farmers.

National Young Farmers Coalition

The National Young Farmers Coalition are farmers and ranchers who steward the struggle to transform agriculture. The group is an intersectional coalition that works for justice and collective liberation of our food and farm systems. NYFC champions policies that resource connections to the land and foster our health in the face of climate crisis.

Soul Fire Farm

Soul Fire Farm is an Afro-Indigenous centered community farm committed to uprooting racism and seeding sovereignty in the food system. The farm raises and distributes food as a means to end food apartheid.

Westchester Land Trust

The Westchester Land Trust works with public and private partners to help preserve land in perpetuity, and to protect and enhance the natural resources in our community. In 2015 Mrs. Kohlberg preserved 70 acres of Cabbage Hill Farm Foundation forever as an agriculture/conservation easement.
